To Boldly Go Where Others Have Gone Before, Except We Have a Giant Bus and a Ton of Margaritas

Seeking solace in salsa, haven in habanero, and the pleasures of piquancy, a motley crew of four characters with varying degrees of sanity and criminal backgrounds are taking a road trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend the 22nd annual National Fiery Foods & BBQ Show starting on March 5.

We will be in a huge tour bus, similar to Brett Michael’s Rock of Love bus but hopefully this one will not have Brett’s ridiculous collagen-enhanced duck face sprawled across the side of it. Black Iguana Margaritas will be one of our sponsors, and they’ve agreed to supply us with enough margaritas to fuel Randy Quaid for a decade. (We’ll also have two dedicated drivers for the trip.)

There are some captivating stops on the way to Albuquerque, and James Wreck of EatMoreHeat will be eating things that that would hospitalize your average Joe. You can bookmark the Scoville Piquancy Chart as well- we’ll be referring to this throughout our escapade. We will also be exploring some of the science behind spicy things.

The Crew:

James Wreck, is a chilehead; a person that enjoys tasting and eating foods that would make Sam Elliot break down in tears and beg for his momma. James is also a world-class smart ass, and he carries this creepy stuffed pepper thing with him for some reason.

Paul Sedillo is our production and video guru, doing the video production and editing. Did I mention we’ll be filming this trip and showing you video excerpts on this site? Go ahead and add it to your RSS feed, bookmark it, or put a magnet on your fridge.

Jason Russo, owner of TexasFood.com and SpicyRV’s resident CSS guru, will be on the web front getting this site set up for your viewing enjoyment.
