Adam Richman Responds

Unless your power was interrupted by a hurricane this morning; you probably saw the last video in the Stevi B’s trilogy.  In addition; (unless your literacy skills are in question) you read John’s accompanying story. If not then click here to ketchup. He mentions that Adam Richman from Man vs Food has never attempted the Flamethrower challenge on camera which is 100% true.  However the reason why Adam has never tried this spicy pizza depends on who you ask.

John wrote that his source(s) claim that the Man vs Food producers contacted the restaurant about the challenge, but declined because Adam was “terrified”.  I wouldn’t blame him if that was the case, but Adam has a much different story.  After David (our camera guy) claimed we should have a beef with Adam because he was afraid of the challenge; he responded to our post today via Twitter (UPDATE – Adam deleted the response, fortunately we have it screen capped.):

Directly from Mr. Richman himself! I can TOTALLY understand if he’s not interested in this challenge. I mean, just take a look at eatfeats.com and you can see all the crazy eating challenges from around the country.  Who would want to do ALL of them? Certainly not me.  HOWEVER our videos should change things substantially for the host of Man vs Food.

I failed at the Flamethrower challenge. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, EXCEPT when you consider that I destroyed the Four Horsemen Burger challenge, and finished the burger in 5 minutes (the time it took Adam to take his second bite according to his show).  Now THAT should make things interesting.  If I were a big time TV show host (which I’m not) I would be very interested in a challenge that so few people have beaten INCLUDING a guy that finished the Four Horsemen but got beaten by the Flamethrower.  I would be so interested that if the guys that failed the first time wanted to give it another shot I would probably join them.

What do you think Adam?  Want to join us in Tallahassee for Round 2? We’re both pissed that we lost, and are ready to do it again! The 3 of us can take on the challenge at once, and the first one to finish and keep it down is the winner. The losers buy dinner and drinks for the winner.

IN THE BATTLE OF MAN vs MAN vs MAN vs FOOD WHO WILL WIN?!

We’re ready when you are.

UPDATE #2 - Read for yourself.

Adam’s second response has since been deleted as well.

  1. He has too many hot chicks diggin’ his rosckstar status to deal with you farm hands. BUT, if he does reply and get it on with you, it will catipult your spicy careers….so, the best of all the good luck to you!

    • It won’t happen. GUARANTEED. Not interested in the pizza that is rumored to be the hottest in America? Doubt it! He’s not interested because of that 15 minute waiting period after you finish.

  2. More often than not it seems Adam is interested in the quantity of food rather than scoville units. I’d love to see that showdown though.

  3. He’s just scared he might have to buy drinks for you two. That could be fuckin expensive…lol

  4. Dear Adam… what happened to the “thrill of the competition” and finding out about the “great challenges the nation has to offer” referenced in your own produced video?

Are you saying that Stevi B’s isn’t a legit challenge? I mean, it bested the guy who owned you on a challenge, so you have to think of it as something significant. It sounds like what you claim your show is about is what you were being offered here, but instead you ran away and hid behind your social media cloud, because you believe somewhere in there that you are immune to being challenged. If you can’t stand our heat… get out of the RV kitchen.
