The Trinidad Scorpion

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve come to a conclusion.  You are all spoiled rotten.  Why would I say that?  Because you have all grown accustomed to me stepping up and crushing ANY spicy food that comes my way, and you don’t realize how brutal these things can be for the common man.  Now don’t get me wrong.  I’m not saying I’m indestructible.  You saw me puke my guts out after failing the Flamethrower Challenge, but most times I kill these challenges for your enjoyment.

There, now that I got that off my chest let me prove my point by presenting you with two videos. These are various attendees and vendors from the Houston Hot Sauce Festival attempting to eat a Trinidad Scorpion pepper.  The video was shot by Buddah from iloveitspicy.com (there’s your plug Buddah), and he landed these rare peppers at the Chile Pepper Food Festival in PA.  John and I both ate one of these extreme peppers, but only one of us looked like badass afterward.  Can you guess who it was?  I bet you can!  The videos are long, so I added the times that John and I appear if you don’t want to watch all 26 minutes of them. There is some NSFW language, so keep the volume low if you need to, and ENJOY!
