Spicy RVkend

Trying to write a blog post when you’re hungover is kinda like trying to gargle oatmeal. If you missed the Rogue Improv performance last night, then you missed a lot of funny people, myself excluded. We have to thank them again for having us, and maybe we can get them drunk enough to invite us back someday. Enough about last night. Let’s talk about this weekend! Ow, headache, no more exclamation marks.

This weekend is mostly about the 2010 Houston Hot Sauce Festival with a few extras along the way. We will be at the festival (the rental RV will be on site) when it opens tomorrow at 11 AM, and there are a plethora of piquant products for your enjoyment.  Around 1 PM will be the Extreme Lollipop Lick-A-Thon sponsored by Intensity Academy and EAT MORE HEAT! This contest is pretty simple. Put the hottest lollipop on earth in your mouth, and see if you can finish it without removing it from your mouth. No biting or chewing!  If that wasn’t enough fun; Silverleaf International will be hosting the Ghost Pepper Salsa drinking contest. It will be a vomitous good time!

The hot sauce festival should end around 6 PM, and then we’re off to Kicks to cover the Houston Roller Derby championship. Did we mention John Scrovak can barely stand up on skates, and he has agreed to be the girls’ practice dummy?  We will be taking donations for his ER visit copay on site.

Sunday will send us back to the hot sauce festival for more fun, including Cajohns execution station. What’s the execution station? It’s the 6 hottest sauces that they make, eaten in order from hot to nuclear, and if you can pull it off you get a prize.  If you want to attempt it while we’re taping, (and I’m heckling) be sure to come by the RV and let us know.
