About
What?
A motley crew of characters with varying degrees of sanity and criminal backgrounds are taking RV road trips to spicy events. We spend the trip looking for biggest, baddest, best, and dumbest diversions along the way. Spicy eating challenges, biker bars, and wrestling luchadors are just the tip of the iceberg. Take a ride on the Spicy RV!
Ultimately we want to move the RV to TV. Want to see our little web show on cable? Help us get there by telling your friends!
Who?
Dave DeWitt (Producer/Spicy Expert) The “Pope of Peppers” is one of the foremost authorities in the world on chile peppers and spicy foods, and the only one with enough sense to stay off the RV. He knows more about chiles than you would ever want to learn, and he will TRY to bring some intelligence and sanity to this spicy circus.

James Wreck (Producer/Host) daredevil, chilehead, and madman; used to pronounce his name “Beck” due to a speech impediment that made him say his R’s like B’s. It got him in trouble if he ever called a woman “rich” or said he was “stuck in a rut”. He’s leading this expedition, not just to eat mind-boggling levels of hot things – he’s here to break records. He’s clinically obsessed with hot sauce, extreme sports, and the Bhut Jolokia pepper. He is also the whipping boy for the site EatMoreHeat.com

John Scrovak (Stupid Human Tricks Specialist) isn’t easy to put into words. Physically dangerous situations that would rot his gut, maim, or humiliate him for the sake of a laugh? Certainly. Words, no. Suffice to say he writes pretty decent, has no filter, and will try anything once. Twice if he doesn’t like it, just to be sure.

David Martin (Cameraman/Director) is a spicy food fan, tech geek, music lover, avid road tripper and food adventurer, and likely the most sane member of the crew. He’s using these trips as an experimental lab for developing an outfitting company for fellow lovers of road trips and food adventures. If for nothing else, he’ll be on the RV to try and talk us out of the many speeding tickets we’re sure to receive. Be prepared to receive a call from him to help raise money for the bail bondsman.

Jason Russo (Web Design Guru) is a self-proclaimed BBQ aficionado and tech geek; Texas food fanatic, and chilehead in training. We call him The Go-To Guy. If you’ve got a problem, yo. He’ll solve it. Owner of the online marketplace for Texas made food, TexasFood.com.
@TexasFood – TexasFood.com
Pedro the Pepper (Manager) is El Jefe of the RV, and he’ll be supervising the operation. Yes, he’s a stuffed pepper, but that’s the way it is.
Where?
COMPLETED Trip 1 – The 22nd Annual National Fiery Foods & Barbeque Show in Albuquerque, NM. The big show is March 5-7th, 2010 at the Sandia Resort and Casino. The trip begins Friday, February 26th departing from Houston, TX. Along the way we will stop at various, yet to be named locations. Once at the show, we will be providing live webcasts, interviews, photos, and more from the event.
COMPLETED Trip 2 – The 1st ever Peppers at the Beach event won’t be a formal trade show, but more of a large-scale demo, where hot sauce companies can sample their products to the masses, join in a few eating competitions, and just hang for a weekend and have a lot of fun. This event is scheduled for May 15-16th, 2010 at the Peppers parking lot located in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
COMPLETED Trip 3 – Houston Hot Sauce Festival: We’re broke, so we’re staying home and looking for stuff to shoot locally. Even if we can’t find anything there still Houston’s only hot sauce event running from September 18-19, 2010 in Houston, TX.
